West Bengal SET Examination notification 2014

The west Bengal college service commission, wbcsc published the official recruitment notification Advt. No. : 18/SET/14 for 18th state eligibility test SET, for the recruitment of assistant professor, and librarian posts in universities and colleges of west bengal. Written exam of wb SET will be held on 14 December 2014 at various examination center of west Bengal. Online application form submission for WB SET will be start from 18 September 2014. You can apply online till the last date 11 October 2014. Last date of application form fee payment at UBI branches I 17 October 2014. Important details of SET 2014 examination as are follows

Applications are invited from eligible Candidates for the eighteenth State Eligibility Test (SET) for the posts of Assistant Professors and Librarians in Universities and Colleges of West Bengal in the following
Subjects: English(01), Bengali(02), Sanskrit(03), Hindi(04), Urdu(05), Commerce(06), Economics(07), History(08), Philosophy(09), Political Science(10), Education(11), Chemical Sciences(12), Geography(13), Life Sciences(14), Mathematical Sciences(15), Physical Sciences(16), Sociology(17), Psychology(18), Library & Information Science(19), Physical Education(20), Electronic Science(21),
Computer Science and Applications (22) and Home Science(23)

Eligibility Criteria: post graduation  Degree in concerned subject with at least 55 % marks.

Question paper pattern and syllabus for SET Examination
First Session – paper 1 – 100 marks – 90 minuet time duration
60 out of which 50 question to be attempted
Paper cutoff marks: GENERAL 40 (40%)OBC/ PWD/ SC/ ST 35 (35%)

First session paper 2 ,  100 marks, 90 minutes time duration
50 questions – all are compulsory
Paper 2 cutoff : 40/35 percent,
Second session  -paper 3rd  , 150 marks .   150 minutes ,  150 minutes
75 question all are compulsory.
Paper 3 cutoff: 75/60

Minus marking will be applicable.

Last date of application form fee payment at UBI branch  - 17 October 2014.
SET 2014 Exam date : 14 December 2014

Application form fee : rs 700 for general candidates and rs 350 for sc /st / obc / ph / vh candidates /
